Marili Cancio if the founding partner of Cancio Johnson & Echarte and she concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate, real estate and international law. With more than 15 years of legal experience, she counsels large and mid-size companies across diverse industries with respect to a wide range of business matters. Significantly, Marili acts as General Counsel to leading Hispanic-owned companies with annual revenues in excess of $100 million.
Marili partners with clients to negotiate and execute business acquisitions and real estate transactions that complement overall business and financial objectives. She also assists with corporate governance and trademark maintenance. Marili has extensive experience with mergers, acquisitions and asset exchange transactions.
In the international arena, Marili represents companies operating in Latin America and foreign investors establishing and expanding companies in the U.S. She helps clients plan and negotiate multi-jurisdictional mergers, other corporate transactions and real estate purchases. In addition, Marili has represented foreign banking institutions in obtaining money transmitter licenses in Florida.
